We almost have our stuff. Almost. The guys say they are coming at 10PM. I almost don’t believe it because they, and everyone involved with the port and customs, has been nothing but a bunch of troublesome snakes-in-the-grass. Anyway the guys better come because I want to set up my Playstation and play Fallout.
We moved out of the hotel today and are at the condo. Bug loves it here, pool, kids, playground, etc. We were also getting really sick of the hotel. I booked it cheap on hotels.com but it was still a tad expensive. Hotels.com incidentally is owned by Expedia, which is owned by Microsoft, so I inadvertently gave some money to Bill Gates. I’m sitting in the condo clubhouse, which has free wireless, and Bug is busy talking to the kids. We’re a little alarmed about how small the condo is. Our apartments in the Emirates and in Saudi were huge, actually.
HDTV cable with HBO costs $12 a month. You gotta love that. There was no HDTV in the Emirates so I’ve never actually been able to watch HDTV on my fancy TV, and I’m rather excited for the guys to come install cable.
